That ye be not judged
My grandfather used to say, “Minding my own business keeps me busy 24 hours a day” I try to live by that, but many people don’t and they condemn others without having all the facts. Like vegetables.

WTF? People are judging her for buying pre-chopped vegetables? Since when is that a thing?

" I can also see your disapproving looks, and how you mutter things under your breath about how lazy I must be or have money to throw away."

If you go to the grocery store and load up the cart with liquor, soda pop and pastries, you might get 'judged', especially if accompanied by a set of obese children, though few people would have the chutzpah to say anything. But for vegetables? Seriously, the Carrot Police checking out your veggies and audibly sneering at them because they're pre-cut? Too absurd.

I know someone who thinks strangers in public are constantly judging her, giving her disapproving looks, and talking about her under their breath, for reasons just as irrational as "they disapprove of my vegetable choices". This is not her being 'judged'; this is her having social anxiety and paranoid ideation. The author of this piece sounds just like her.
