Harlan Ellison is an honorable man*
Remembering Roger Zelazny remembering other writers.
*There appears to be no Shakespearian irony here.

Thanx to Tor.com.

Never knew the man, but loved a lot of his work.

I didn't know that Zelazny was from Cleveland. Makes me wonder whether Jerry Kaufman knew him. I'll have to ask.

The Delany/Tricon story reminds me of one Delany told at a reading, about how a young guy (I can't remember now if he was pre- or post-pubescent) sidled up to him and asked if he was the Samuel R. Delany who wrote Babel-17. When Delany said yes, the kid asked if threesomes as depicted in the book happened in real life. When Delany said yes to that, the kid gave a huge, happy sigh.
