Haters gonna hate
Just because Trump focuses on Mexicans and Muslims doesn’t mean he can’t appeal to the older traditions.

So, does quoting Menachim Begin count as 'hate speech'?

There's an apocryphal little story, that during the Holocaust the Jews prayed that the Nazi leaders would be reborn as Jews so they'd know how it felt. Looking at the leadership of Israel, it appears that their prayers were answered.

When I was young, I prided myself on being pro-porn. I still think it should exist, but it sure keeps getting nastier. That's how I feel about Israel.

Porn is natural, though; humans have been making art about sex since we first learned to make art. A lot of it is more-or-less nasty, depending on one's tastes - I don't think our porn is nastier than that of the ancient world; just we've got cinematography and special effects.

The state of Israel is not natural. It is totally a manufactured product, and its creation was widely regarded as a mistake. The state of Israel was founded on Palestinian genocide from the start, so it's hardly surprising that that genocide has continued and escalated over the ensuing decades.

If it was so important to Americans that the Jews have a homeland, we could have given them west Texas: it's got roughly the same kind of climate and terrain as Palestine, and a lot smaller population. The Texans would not have liked that any better than the Palestinians did, but they hadn't held their family lands nearly as many generations, so it wouldn't have hurt them as much to move. Or they could have stayed to become second-class citizens in their own former homeland, like the Palestinians have.

If that sounds like an outrageous suggestion, consider how the Palestinians must have felt when their British occupiers just gave away half their country. The difference, of course, is that the Texans are heavily armed - partly because they do fear the government might arbitrarily decide to seize their lands and give them to someone else, and they don't mean to stand for it.
