Getting one right
This is a post that respects Donald Trump and refers unironically to “the sainted Ron Paul” but tells it like it is about Dubya and the Iraq disaster.

Back in the 70s, it seemed that libertarians were divided into the DFHs (like me) who wanted to legalize sex, dope, & smut and grudgingly accepted the free market and the economic libertarians, who were the other way around. I would look at something like Reason’s all-male symposium on the ethics of abortion and wonder if this really was the team I wanted to be on. (And, as you know, I eventually reratted to the liberals.) Ron Paul was coming in as I was leaving, and he struck me as an excellent example of the other side; I sometimes wondered if he wanted the federal government to stop meddling in people’s lives because the states could do it more efficiently. But I always liked his approach to antiwar issues, which may be the one area where I am still more libertarian than liberal.
