I do wish you luck, of course, but doubt that this will be needed -- I don't think I know anyone who had this procedure and was not delighted with the results. ... Well, okay, maybe two people, but they're the kind who are never satisfied with _anything_.

(I suppose you're getting one eye done at a time, as is the usual practice rather than being totally blind for two or three days. Trust me, there's about a 99% chance that when that first eye is unbandaged one of your first actions will be to sign the Form to have the other one done.)

I'malready signed up for the second one (2 weeks).

I wasn't delighted, but I'm an outlier in why I needed the surgery (aftermath of a vitrectomy, so it was only one eye).

I also needed a capsulotomy a couple of years after the cataract surgery. This is not terribly uncommon, and while it was rather nerve-wracking, that one went just as easily as everyone predicted.

Good luck! I know a few other people who've had the surgery, and they've been very happy they did.

Best of luck! Even tho this can be said to be routine, if any surgery is, still it's your EYES.

Good thoughts! I'm told it's so much easier than it used to be...when my grandmother had it back in the 60s, she had to remain motionless for days. Now I think you'll be up and rarin' to go in a matter of hours.

Even though this is supposed to be an easy and simple surgery, I'm vastly relieved to read that it seems to have worked. Bravo!

Glad it went well, sorry I missed the window for wishing you well beforehand, and much sympathy at the indecently early hour you were awake to make this post.

Indecentlly early hour indeed. OTOH, I had to be at the hospital by something like 6 am, and figured out that most doctors are likely to do a better job at 7 am than they are in the late afternoon after doing the operation 50 or a hundred times. And yes, with this Modern Medicine has really made amazing advances.

Yes, that's a good reason for a horribly early procedure.

Actually, I always get up godawful early; it's a form of insomnia.

Oh, I see. That seems to be fairly common.

I often awake early, but there's no point in getting up. I have tried to get up and start my day, but I'm not really awake in a useful sense and tend to break things or write stuff that just has to be deleted later.
