None of this Johnny-come-lately "Illuminati" stuff

I've felt favorably towards the Knights Templar every since a brief membership in the Order of De Molay in my teens. (It's a Young Adults (male) branch of Masonry: I found it interesting for about two years, then decided that it was silly.) But as far as I can figure out, the Templars made the grave mistake of collecting almost as much money as the Pope, And, quite possibly, of doing more Good with it than he did. And I greatly like the modern Historical Mystery series featuring a Templar who somehow escaped being identified/killed/punished.

The great thing I saw in that article in Raw Story was the ascribed date of founding the Order. C. 1100 BC might have been a typo for AD ... or they might very well be kooky enough to believe that. But... ummm.... I really don't see much Significance in the fact that one of the members of the staff of the (Democratic Party) Official belongs to a Kookish Group. /W/h/y/,/ /s/o/m/e/ /o/f/ /t/h/e/ /m/e/m/b/e/r/s/ /o/f/ /h/e/r/ /S/t/a/f/f/ /m/i/g/h/t/ /e/v/e/n/ /b/e/ /M/o/r/m/o/n/s./

And yeah, I have to admit that if the individuals concerned were Republicans I might have suggested that some kind of Evil could be involved. *shrug*

Like the concept, but the follow-through sucks. Can't even cut and paste well.
BC for AD indeed!
