I'm afraid Carroll has it about right. *sigh* I figured out, long ago, that when the Doctor examined & questioned me, then left the room, he went to check with a Compuer. That was fine with me, because computers nowadays can hold more Information than most Doctors minds can. That the Data Base they check is one that's primarily concerned with billing information is... not so fine, as far as I'm concerned.

And yes, U.S. physiciains in general seem to be notroriously ignorant of tropical diseases & parasites (I suspect the same may be true of other northern MDs).
