They tell me that if I want POC and LGBTQ and other acronyms to feel comfortable in our space or think that offering to rape is not a reasonable form of discourse [ETA: and say it online], I am a "Social Justice Warrior." It seems obvious to me that I do not have the Warrior nature, so I am glad that someone has suggested other character classifications, including a much more Discordian one.

Jesus, yes, that's apparently the new right-wing dig, and now it even has an acronym.

Frankly, I don't see what's wrong with fighting for social justice, but then, I'm not a right-winger. It's as if they created an insult for "kind people" or something.

These are the same sorts of people who think "liberal" is an insult.

I first heard the term a couple years back from left-leaning people, to describe the sorts of youngsters who’ve just learned about social justice issues and cruise Tumblr looking for opportunities to harangue those they consider less enlightened.

On other words, this is “political correctness” all over again — a term used tongue-in-cheek by the left, grabbed away and used in earnest by the right.

That's the usage history I've observed too.
