I missed Bisexual Visibility Day, but neither that nor age and incipient cataracts keep me from seeing them. I continue to be amazed at the amount of wasted ingenuity devoted to trying to force the fascinating variety of human sexuality into the Procrustean double bed of homo- and hetero-.

Thanx to Feministing

You've been seeing us since before the incipient cataracts, which probably helps.

Ah, I love language.

I also love on a spectrum - so I love this language particularly.

You have "incipient cataracts"? I beseech you to make arrangements as soon as practical to have artificial lenses inserted. I swear to [whatever Power causes seeds to germinate] that you don't realize how much you're missing. (The onset is that gradual and insidious.)

My condition wasn't seriously advanced (Kaiser seems to have adopted the idea that that much corrective work might as well be done early, rather than hoping that the patient dies from other causes before it's seriously Needed), but when I walked into the surgeon's office and he removed the bandage, I said "Ummm.... Doctor..." and he handed me the paperwork for doing the other eye. Seeing colors again as something like what they _really_ are was Glorious. (And, in a way, so was noticing that the wall facing me was slightly marked by the backs of chairs that had been placed against it. )
