Thanks, very interesting -- I've saved to read later at more leisure.

I've started taking days off...occasionally I just make a deal with the universe to spend one day NOT feeling like the worst person on earth. It's on those days that I realize how bad the problem is.

Thank you, I've had that kind of mental noise recurring lately and it's helpful to see how others experience and cope with it. It can be crippling. I liked a phrase in the comments: "self-harassment." It is, that or self-sabotage.

I find meditation to be very helpful for regaining the inner shield/bulwark/armor. When I'm grounded by meditation I can look at those comments and say, "hm, interesting timing, another backstab when I'm feeling relatively good. So what are you afraid of or what are you resenting today?"
